CCTV footage capturing the sound of gunshots during the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel in Liverpool has emerged.
The video does not show the attack itself but the audio clearly captures the sound of four gunshots.
Olivia was killed shortly after 10pm on Monday night after a 35-year-old man, being chased by another man with a gun, forced his way into her house.
The gunman followed and put his hand through a gap in the door, before shooting blind around the corner.
Olivia was shot in the chest and fatally injured where she stood at the bottom of the stairs, while her mother Cheryl was shot in the arm.
The video focuses on a street outside and its audio captures the gunshots.
They can be heard ringing out – first a pair, then a single shot, then another shot – as the struggle would be taking place inside the house.
Later, what appears to be someone running off can be seen by their trainers at the top of the video.
The emergence of the video comes as the man shot and injured by the gunman has been revealed as “convicted burglar” Joseph Nee.
The 35-year-old was believed to be the intended target of the balaclava-wearing attacker who chased him along the street before Nee forced his way into the schoolgirl’s family home in the Dovecot area to try to get away.
