Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden was rushed to hospital after last night’s main show – but has said she is feeling “much better”.
The dancer, who also has Crohn’s disease, had returned to the show in August after receiving cancer treatment.
A spokesperson for Dowden said: “Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution. She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern.
“We request Amy’s privacy in matters of health is kindly respected.”
A Strictly spokesperson added: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Amy Dowden MBE was unable to be in tonight’s results show.”
Dowden, who has not partnered a celebrity on the entertainment show since 2022, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May last year.
Ahead of her return, she described her joy at being told by her doctor there was no evidence of disease.
Writing on Instagram earlier this year, she called the news “words I dreamed of” and her “biggest accomplishment yet”.
The 34-year-old said she won’t get the all-clear for five years, and will need monthly injections as well as regular check-ups.
Dowden was made an MBE in this year’s New Year’s honours list for services to fundraising and raising awareness of Crohn’s.
