Israel has said it is suspending pauses to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza City, calling it a “dangerous combat zone”, AP news agency has reported.
The city was among locations where Israel paused fighting last month to allow for food and aid supplies to enter between 10am and 8pm.
The “tactical pauses” covered Gaza City, Deir al-Balah and Muwasi – where hundreds of thousands of displaced people have been sheltering.
It comes as Israel prepares to widen its offensive, mobilising tens of thousands of troops to seize Gaza City.
It has claimed Gaza City is a Hamas stronghold in the past, with a tunnel network that remains in use by militants.
