Rockies pitchers and catchers report to spring training Wednesday, which is when Bard’s surgery is scheduled.
Bard, who is entering the final season of a two-year, $19 million deal, signed a minor league deal with the Rockies in 2020 and has since gone 21-16 with 61 saves and a 3.83 ERA in 197 appearances.
He had 34 saves in 2022.
