A £5,000 reward is being offered to find a motorist who crashed into a mother pushing her baby in a pram before fleeing the scene.
Rajdeep Kaur, 37, suffered “life-changing injuries” after she was struck by a silver BMW X5 as she pushed her 13-month-old daughter in a pram along North Hyde Lane in Hounslow, west London.
The driver was travelling in the wrong direction to overtake traffic when the car hit Mrs Kaur as she crossed the road, throwing her several feet in the air, the Metropolitan Police said.
The BMW narrowly missed the pram, which remained in the road after the collision and was at risk of being hit by other vehicles.
The baby was unhurt, however Mrs Kaur was taken to hospital with leg and pelvic injuries.
Mrs Kaur remained in hospital for several months following the incident, which happened at around 12.25pm on 3 February.
She now has extremely limited mobility, meaning she is unable to care for her daughter independently.
Mrs Kaur has since managed to walk a few steps with the aid of a walking frame, but doctors say she will never make a full recovery.
Witnesses captured the number plates of the BMW but they were later found to have been cloned.
Charity Crimestoppers is offering the reward for information that leads to the conviction of the person responsible for the hit-and-run.
The driver is believed to be local to the Hounslow area, police said – as officers urged anyone with information to come forward and help them to deliver justice.

Detective Constable Davina Nash described the case as “very distressing”.
“Mrs Kaur thankfully survived but has sustained injuries that will change her life forever,” the officer said.
“It was only fortunate that her 13-month daughter was not hurt too.
“We believe the driver of the BMW is local to the Hounslow area and so someone will know who he or she is.
“If you have information about the driver or anything else that could secure justice for the victim, the charity Crimestoppers guarantee you will stay completely anonymous.”
