A baby boy has died after a rescue operation at Ullapool Harbour in the Scottish Highlands.
Emergency crews were alerted to the baby in the water at around 1.20pm on Monday.
Police Scotland said the boy was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness but was pronounced dead a short time later.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal “in due course”.
