One of three men stabbed in Halifax town centre has died from his injuries.
Police said a second man was in a “critical condition” and that a third had received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers said the “serious incident” took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, and that they received a phone call at 3.48am reporting that “three men had been assaulted” in Commercial Street.
All three were rushed to hospital with stab wounds where one of them died shortly after.
West Yorkshire Police said: “There is a significant police scene in place in the town centre while police conduct specialist searches and forensic enquiries.
“The public and local businesses are thanked for their patience at this time.”
They said further information would be released in due course.
