Ikea has launched a scheme allowing customers to return their old furniture back to the retailer in exchange for shopping vouchers.
The initiative had been due to launch in November but was delayed due to lockdown measures.
Now available across all Ikea stores in England, it means customers can return items in exchange for up to £250 in vouchers to spend at the store.

People bringing back products will receive amounts on a sliding scale depending on the condition of the product.
Those returned good as new will see customers receive vouchers for 50% of the original price, with 40% for those with minor scratches and 30% for furniture brought back that is well used with several scratches.
Dressers, sideboards, bookcases, shelf units, dining tables, and chests of drawers are among the products eligible for the scheme.
Customers who want to take part can fill out an online form which will generate an offer for the returned goods before they bring it into the store to receive a voucher.
Ikea will attempt to resell the goods under “pre-loved” labels.
Peter Jelkeby, chief sustainability officer at Ikea UK & Ireland, said the retailer was “committed to making sustainable living more affordable, attractive and accessible”.
“Through Buy Back we hope to make circular consumption mainstream; making it easier for customers to acquire, care for and pass on products in circular ways,” Mr Jelkeby said.
